I'm Laura, your East Bay hype woman behind the camera. I'm based in Lafayette and photograph couples, maternity, families, and graduates, plus elopements and weddings, from Walnut Creek to wherever in the Bay Area your story takes us.
Always the real, unscripted moments over stiff posing. My goal is simple: help you feel like yourself, then capture exactly that.
I grew up with a camera. Seriously.
My mom has always loved photos and home videos, so I grew up in front of a camera long before I got behind one. In high school she handed me her Canon 35mm, I signed up for a film class, and that was it. I fell in love with the whole process: shooting a roll, developing it, and watching a print appear in the darkroom.
I went on to study fine art with a concentration in photography at UC Santa Cruz, and later earned my MBA at Santa Clara University. I've called the Bay Area home since 2014, and today I live and work in Lafayette.
I'm a first-gen Mexican-American, a hopeless romantic, and the friend who tears up at other people's happy moments. I can't imagine my life without photography, and I feel lucky every time someone trusts me with their story.
